You have made my Mother a very happy women! She grew up with the Firestone Christmas records and sent me on a web quest to find "This is that time of the Year" so she could have it again. Dad has recently suffered a severe stroke and this was our family's favorite Christmas Album!
We put it on an mp3 player brought it to the rehab hospital and he's actually singing along with most of the songs..a miracle in itself!

"This is That Time of the Year" is probably one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time. Very underrated as a catchy sweet holiday tune the likes of which they don't make anymore or at least don't play on the radio. Thank you for this. My Firestone LP's still work but it would be nice to have them elsewhere to enjoy.

oh yes, this is one of the best blog posts in history! i'm pretty amazed to find so many others that share this record as a family tradition. we have two LP copies of it, and a rickety old cassette, but of course it's 2009 and everyone wants it on their pod! JINGALING!! :)

My mother got this album when she was 10 yrs old, and has been a major part of her Christmas joy since. About 12 years ago, the tape deck ate her tape, and was unrecoverable. She was heartbroken.
I had searched high and low trying to find a replacement, and stumbled upon this site.
I downloaded the album and burned it to CD, and snuck it into the CD player while Mom was making Popcorn and Cranberry strings for the upcoming holiday. When it started to play, she broke down in tears, and about strangled me with hugs.
My hat goes off to you for making this available, and making this Christmas a truely merry one.
